28th Day of Lent John 3:17-21

This passage in John, which follows the passage John 3:16, speaks about light and dark and how those who do not believe in God live in darkness. Those who come to the light believe in God and His son who brings light to the world.

The Chancel Choir has sung many anthems about light already this year and through these songs of praise we are reminded about the light that comes into our lives. The choir sings we should let it shine, know true light, be comforted by light everlasting, and most recently, wait for heavenly light. In our music the images of light are everywhere and it reminds us in all we do to, be the light. “Divine light of love, show us the way unto our God, we pray. Thou our beacon and guide shalt be.”
