						Dorothy Graham Gilmer of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away on July 18, 2011. She is survived by her sister, Florence Josephine Graham of Palm Harbor, FL; her sister-in-law, Olivia Gillespie Graham of Roanoke, VA; her niece, Patricia Graham Hartje, her husband, Robert and their children, Mathew and Rebecca of Chattanooga, TN; her nephew, Albert James Graham III, his wife, Cherryl of Berwyn, PA and their children, Tristan, Rachael and Sara; and her nephew, Robert Gillespie Graham, his wife, Susan and their children, Robert Jr., Christopher and Riley of Tampa, FL. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Bertrum Hensel Gilmer; her parents, Madge Richardson Graham and Albert James Graham; and her brother, Albert James Graham, Jr. Dorothy was a native of Bluefield, WV and a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA, with a double major in chemistry and mathematics. Dorothy and her husband lived in Schenectady, NY for many years. They were members of the First Reformed Church where Dorothy served as a deacon, an elder and chair of the Membership Committee. She was president of the Schenectady chapter of the American Association of University Women. In addition, she was a member and former president of P.E.O., Chapter AE of Schenectady. Dorothy worked for the General Electric Corporation in Richmond, VA and Schenectady, NY. Dorothy and her sister, Florence retired in Florida. Both Dorothy and Florence became members of the Northwood Presbyterian Church in Clearwater, FL. A funeral service for Dorothy will be held Friday, July 22 at 2 p.m. at the Peery &amp; St. Clair Funeral Home, 111 Ben Bolt Ave., Tazewell, VA to be followed by the burial in the Graham family plot in the Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agnes Scott College, 141 East College Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030.<br>

				<p>
					<span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="color: rgb(128, 0, 0);"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">Born in DePeyster ,NY on November 7, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Harlow &amp; Flossie Hurlbut Jackson. She grew up on a dairy farm in northern NY. Julia married Worth S. Phillips in 1936. They moved to Auburn, NY in 1947 where Julia worked for JC Penney and later as a proof reader for the Citizen Advertizer Newspaper.In Auburn, she was active in Trinity Methodist Church, Home Bureau, Fire Auxillary , and RSVP(Retired Senior Volunteer Program). Julia was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and New York State Grange. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and bowling. She especially enjoyed knitting mittens for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, sewing them doll clothes and traveling with her sister, Eleanor.</span></span></span></p>
				<p>
					<span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="color: rgb(128, 0, 0);"><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 0);">Survivors include her son, Richard(Ruthellen) of Schenectady, granddaughters Ellen(Craig) Warsaw of Maryland and Sarah(Jonathan)Pundt of Wisconsin ; four great grandchildren, Beth &amp; Brian Warsaw and Jackson &amp; Anna Pundt. She is also survived by her brother, Horace(Mary) Jackson of DePeyster,NY, a niece and&nbsp;three nephews. Julia was also predeceased by her husband, Worth, in 1967 and her sister, Eleanor Jackson, in 2002.</span></span></span></p>

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Richville, N.Y.</span></span></span></p>
